Beside immunisation day the last week has really been a magical time. Lenny is changing so much everyday, turning into a real animated little person. He spent several play sessions staring intensely at his right hand the other day. Seemingly recognising it as part of him for the first time. He then progressed to trying to get it into his mouth. After several attempts of trying to insert it into his nose he finally found his mouth. He now gets it in first time every time! Sounds small but it’s a big step for him. Something he can control himself.
Yesterday on his playmat he made friends with the little hanging frog. He smiled and laughed at it for ages, his first (albeit stuffed) friend!
And as for Nath and I, he can’t get enough of us. He smiles and giggles and talks away. I ‘m not sure what he’s trying to tell us but it’s definitely good. It’s so nice being someone so cute’s favourite people!
His sleeping patterns are also starting to change. While we’re a long way from sleeping through the night he has started skipping an evening feed several times a week. So he goes to bed at 8pm and instead of waking at 10pm he wakes at around 1.30am. I’d never imagined how excited I could be by the prospect of five hours sleep. It’s the little things these days…
That pic is so cute. Don’t worry, it won’t be long before he’s sleeping longer. They all do eventually!
Hey rob, glad to hear Lenny’s night time sleeps are going really well. To be honest I can’t remember when Dean started to drop a feed but by all accounts Lenny sounds like he’s doing excellent!! How are his day sleeps going?? Did the nurse from Tresillian come??
Love to you all.

PS: He’s got a gorgeous smile!!
Hey Nattie, day sleeps are still few and far between but I don’t mind that if he goes back to sleep at night with minimal fuss! The tresilian nurse came and showed me some settling techniques but I think he’s a bit too young. I think I’ll try again when he’s around 3-4 months.
